Got through the entire main story. Second playthrough I'm going survival difficulty and forcing myself to never user power armor. Called myself "Blondie"and I'm going stealth with a long range and pistol focus.

I'm assuming once you finish the main story you can just wonder the wasteland completing other side quests. Are there any you cannot do once the main storyline is complete because of changes it may have in the world?

The story line has forks like a tree. I believe it will limit what quests you can do as depending on what do you further into the main story line will fail other quests that conflict.

I've already beat the main line with the BOS. Working on doing it with the institute now. Then will do railroad and finally I'll do one more thing to construct the teleportation device with the Minutemen and see where that goes.

I've gotten to the point with this game since I hit level 20 that it just owns me. I can go into a lot of areas and hold my own. I've have a lot of good weapons to help. I've been trying to hold off on a lot of the main quest. I have joined the brotherhood of steel and done a few of there missions. Level 28 and loving this game

Yeah, this game pretty much owns my soul right now.  I played for like 3-4 hours last night and didn't even get done what I planned to do when I started, lol.  Seems like any time I finish a quest I get at least one more that leads me somewhere else and I love it.  I don't plan on doing another playthrough so I'm getting the most out of this one as I can.  Currently level 37.

I'm only lvl 28 and still hanging around Diamond City. Put a good number of hours in and not done much of anything. Like Husker, I go somewhere and get lost in that area for days just exploring or following little side quests.

I have been clearing most of my side quests lately and plan to advance the Main story some more soon.

Finished the game tonight.  Man what a good game.  Very impressed.

Ended up at level 53 with 313 locations found.  I don't know how many total locations there are but it can't be a whole lot more than that!

Made a save just before the game splits and you make some decisions on which way to go so I can go back and replay just the last parts that I wasn't able to play with the way I went.  Once I do that I still need to run 9 more misc missions and figure out how to get settlement happiness to 100 to get those achievements and I'll get all the achievements in the game.  I haven't gotten all achievements in a game since Forza 2!

I will 100% be getting the DLC for the game.  It gets my vote for game of the year.

Woohoo, got to 100%.  First game in over 8 years that I've gotten that on, lol.

Now I can get back to some of the shows/movies I have been wanting to get to for the last month.  I've played this game so much they've been neglected.

What was the final hour count? I just realized today that I have over 120 hrs in and nowhere near finishing lol!

Hmm, probably 150'ish when accounting for reloading the old save and replaying the end a couple of times for the other endings.

Congrats man, are you going to roll through it again with a different build or play style?
I'm at about 100 hours already, but that might be a bit misleading as I've fallen asleep playing more than once. Plus, I play a lot while watching shows in the snap window, and that might lead to only "actively" playing 3/4ths of the time. I think I'm level 32 as of last night.

No, not any time soon at least.  Maybe WAY down the line if I want to play it again, but I've had enough of it for a long time, lol.

Put in like 1-1.5 hrs and just got back to town and started looting houses before meeting up with Cogsworth. Hoping this one will capture my attention better than Fallout 3 did, but from everything I've read I'm not too worried. I have a feeling I'll be playing a little less Destiny with my new games, especially if I get sucked into this.

Scrap the hell out of every thing in sanctuary then start to rebuild it in your own way. Wander, find random quests and do them if you are not to low level.

I did read an intro wiki on IGN that mentioned when building a settlement to scrap old cars and buildings you don't need since you have limited space so I'll definitely start with that.

My only suggestion would be to wonder about and check stuff out. Main quests and side quests are fine but there are a ton of little stories all over the commonwealth. In fact, pretty much every single location whether marked or not has some kind of history. My favorite moments have been discovering the history of locations and the stories they tell with notes and terminal entries.

Jump on for like 1.5-2hrs and just started clearing Sanctuary (in and around the houses) and then I built my 2 story mansion. Still need to do a little interior decorating but it's useable. Also need to add some prefabs and beds to get some settlers and some defenses to keep the riff raff out.
