Doesn't feel to good from this end of things. Really not happy with the pitching staff and the lack of moves they have made to improve things. I think the pitching coach needs to be fired. The approach is so bad it's pitch away away away. I sit at home screaming at the TV attack and throw something inside.  It's so bad I have a hard time watching.

Already? wow...
In that case, it's going to be a very long season for you.

Yea the team has the league worst era and whip. The starting pitching staff has a hard time making it out of the 3rd inning. Yup they need to fire the pitching coach or make some major trades. Right now the approach of the whole pitching staff is very pussyish. They really need to grow a pair.

True. I'm used to seeing the sox win and after last season I'm not feeling last place again. It seems like to me every game the sox win is because the other team made mistakes. Top to catchers are out and they brought up Blake Swiheart who is the #1 prospect. I like the kid but I hope that they didn't have to rush him up. Blend that with a pitching staff that doesn't seem to know hope to pitch in the majors and it does not look good. Boston as corny and bragging as it sounds is a city that is use to winning and at a minimum making it to the playoffs in all sports. I love the acquisition of Hanley and Pablo as they are hitting great but unless they score 4 runs off of home runs then the chances of a win look slim. Salty redsox fan out. Lol

I know what you mean about Blake Swiheart but seriously put yourself in this kids shoes. I'm just called up and playing in the Sox & Yanks rivalry game on Sunday night primetime on ESPN. The baseball world is watch.. It's a bit much.

I'd be sh%tting bricks too.

Hope things get better for you OC. Who is going to be the new coach?
Pedro Martínez?

In the meantime, have a laugh at the bone-head play of the day (Castro) faking his own teammate in a crucial game against the best team. He could cause Rizzo to miss the ball since once he looks up after covering first he has no idea where the ball is coming from.

I had hoped that since the Mets destroyed the Cubs that they would put up more of a fight with the Royals, but oh well.  What is is, 4 mo to Spring Training and 5 mo to Opening Day?

Yeah, congrats to the Royals and any of their fans.
But beware, my Yankees will be lurking in the shadows...LOL

Good games for sure, and a great series. I only wish for the sake of Chicago that the Cubs had put in more effort and finally had a chance to be there.

Don't worry, the Cubs aren't going anywhere. Getting to the CS after going through the two best records in baseball was a pretty good feat for a team with 5 starting rookies and a new skipper. The core of the team is young and now knows how to win in the post season so I expect them to be in the hunt for the next 5-7 years, if not longer.
