Destiny burnout

Post by S7 Coolhand on Wed Oct 22, 2014 12:35 am

Anyone else feeling it?  I really haven't played much these last two weeks - just don't have a desire to jump on for daily stuff.  The only thing that brings me back is when there's a party of my homies.  Definitely looking forward to CoD and Halo for a change of pace.  That and some DLC would be welcome.

I'm taking a little break and waiting for some DLC to hit. I'll still hop on and raid or play some pvp.

Well I'm always "Johnny come lately" and I still don't even have it. No excuses either, but life has been hectic recently in a good way.

I do still have Titanfall Embarassed  (another game I bought when first released and never played) maybe you guys can jump in and show me the rope in that while you take a Destiny break?

I'm pretty much on the edge on this one.  If I hadn't gotten those raid boots last night I'd probably have just been done for the week.  Getting those at least gives me a reason to get some more bounties done to get them leveled up.  Luckily each pair had different stats so they'll both be useful depending on which subclass I use.

Got to level 20 but everyone was so ahead of me I decided to buy that Sleeping Dogs Game and played that a little.  I'll most likely revisit it soon but nothing I'll play all the time.
I may get COD for XBOX so I can hook up with some of you.....maybe Grand Theft also

Can't say I'm burned out, but I only get to play 1-2 times a week.  For a while I was frustrated about not getting gear but just when I really get to the end of the line they throw me some gear and shards.  I'd also like to get to the point where we can complete the raid on hard so there's that.

I'm about there too. Doing the daily and even weekly tasks feel like a job now. I can do them while watching the TV in snap and get them done. I just ranked up my last faction to level 3, so there is even less drive now. I still enjoy the crucible, but can only play that so long without teammates.

I still have yet to win a crucible match on the regular game.  Played only about a dozen and most without S7 bros, so that's probably why.

I think I will be pretty much done with this game after this week and the release of COD. I'll get back on and play the DLC, but I'm not running the bounties and daily missions or any more raids. I've been having a good time in the crucible the last few days, but have been running it solo as no one else is on or interested. Plus, I just can't do single player or co-op against the program any more as I have been grinding it out over the past few weeks. Time for some competitive multiplayer!

Yeah, looks like the consensus that I've seen/heard is that most people are just waiting for CoD to drop at this point.  Looks like after next week there will be few people playing Destiny.  I'm kind of surprised that the PvP aspect of this game didn't latch on to more people here like CoD does.

Ya, I'm burnt out on destiny. If the iron banner was live I would play that. Pvp is pretty fun but playing it solo or with out in game chat, kinda kills it.  Im gonna take a break on gaming period and prob will not play anything tell cod drops, which im not too excited about really. I think I might be  burnt out  on FPS or maybe just need some good games, i wasn't too impressed with Destiny at all

No burnout here.  I'm looking forward to more raids with the clan.  We keep picking up new members here and there.  Helping out new blood get their gear and having a good time with it.

Same here, no burnout but I will say that playing with an active group every day is the key to any games success in the clan.  That is the same reason CoD is still so strong.  Sure people like the game itself but I think it has more to do with an active base.  If you are playing and having fun every day, it makes little difference what game you are playing.  The real enjoyment comes from the group dynamic.

What sticks and what fails in this clan is always a bit of a mystery.  You can't seem to call it.  Either it clicks and your having fun every day or it doesn't.

Although I'm forced to take a break now, I was still feeling burned. It was drudgery especially since the rewards were so frustrating. Wasn't planning on starting another player and was content to just sit at Lvl 29 on my lone Hunter. And PvP wasn't a big draw for me so I'll look to see what comes in the DLC.

I will definitely be one of those who focuses on COD when it drops.

I finally find a non-COD game that actually has clan support and everyone is leaving for the newest re-skin of COD  Sad

I'm not giving it up, nor am I getting CoD, but yeah, pretty much feel you on that one.  Would like to get another raid or two (alt) in before CoD drops just for the chance at getting one more piece to hit 30.  I don't see raiding being a thing after CoD comes out.  At least not hard mode for sure.

Yeah I feel like it will just be a couple of us raiding and filling in the rest with LFG. I'm so d@mn excited for the new raids too, I was really hoping we could get a day 1 raid group going and go in blind.

Post by S7 COOP on Mon Oct 27, 2014 6:54 pm

I had a blast when i was the same level as everyone else. Now i see Owl and Coolhand on and i want to join them, but i can' help in the raids and with anything else cause i'm such a lower level than them. So i have to play solo, which is still ok, but not as great. I took about 2 weeks off and have been jumping back and forth between that and COD, I feel like once you start hitting light levels, all you can look forward to are drops. Theres not a lot (other than bounties and raids, by myself which suck) that i can do to progress.

Farming vanguard/faction marks can get you to at least 28. Do your daily bounties (most are quick and easy) to get marks/rep and xp for your gear, daily story mission and daily public event for marks and ascendant materials, and then tiger strikes for the rest of your marks. I'm always down for tiger strikes if you want a partner, plus you can get good drops.

After Wednesday morning, I'll be back on often again
