Well another year another Quakecon attended. I have had the pleasure of playing Battlecry and vs journalist / media people. Creamed them 75 kills to 30 lol.

Actually it is going on from today tell Sunday morning. I am taking two summer classes so I am back and forth between homework and enjoying the con. Overall it is under welling compared to other cons. Its nothing like CES, PAX Prime, or Dreamhack. It is the biggest LAN party in the United States but the overall turnout from companies is low as having companies come to an event where the customers they are trying to get are already hooked on computer merchandise is really unappealing to most. I attend QuakeCon as it normally has no confilctions with school or work as it falls in the time of summer break. The biggest event I would consider is PC Perspectives conference where last year they gave away GTX Titans and AMD 7990s. Other than BattleCry they will be releasing a new Doom trailer live here, and Elder Scrolls Online is back in force but I am not a fan of the business model they chose so don't expect much info from me. As for the venders that did come here we have the ever present BAWLS energy drink company, In Win, Enermax, gigabit, case modders, and many more. Usual In Win is the biggest giving away high quality limited addition cases like the S frame case which is one of the sexiest cases I have seen, and I believe it comes with all components installs so plug and play.

Sounds pretty fun. I went to the Dota 2 TI4 this past weekend. Just happened to be in Seattle for work and had to go. It was pretty amazing. The Key Arena doesnt even get that packed for NBA games.

Well I was unlucky this year and didn't win anything through the vendor raffles they have, but i did enjoy my time. PC perspectives conference gave away a Titan Z as its main prize which I was surprised about, while also handing out a good dozen 750ti and 760 GTX cards. As for the overall experience I would have to say playing Battlecry was the best by far. The game reminds me of TF 2 in the way of teamwork while having different classes. If they polish up the game and have monthly updates it could last a long time.

 EDIT: Screw random.org randomized algorithm
