Nope you should be fine with the PSU just makes sure you plug it into the wall after you plug it into the PSU. Also a thing to consider is getting a none K version on your CPU. So the 4670K, K stands for overclockable so you can try to get a few extra Hz from the CPU. This required you to go into the motherboards BIOS and mess around with voltage and clock speeds. Now if you plan on doing this I would get the after market CPU fan. If you don't plan to overclockable try to find the cards brother / partner, if it has one. If you decide to go for the none K version you could get away with the stock CPU cooler. From what I'm seeing the price difference is really small so it up to you.

I doubt I'd be doing any overclocking and the like since I simply do not know how... lol.  I could go for the 4670.  It does cost $10 more, but if it can survive well with stock cpu cooler then I'll take the Cooler Master cpu fan off my list.  I'd rather keep the installation process simple, while having a great build.  The fan seems like it would just complicate things for me.  And I'm 99% sure I'd still be able to play all my games and future pc games with no issues.  I mean, this is definitely an upgrade from my previous computer, and my previous computer was able to handle all my pc games very well at max/near max settings and I had it for about three years.

As long as you don't go over a 1080p monitor you  should be fine for most games.

EDIT: if the K version is cheaper just get that, no harm in getting it and you have to manually overclock it. Oveclocking is not required just possible. I have a Intel K and have not overclocked it yet.

So if I get the K without getting the Cooler Master cpu fan, then I should be fine as long as I don't overclock.  I'll probably do that then.

Yep, correct. It will probably run around 70-80C under load which is fine, as it wont be constantly at full load. Now when and if it gets into the 90Cs it will slowly damage the transistors damaging the chip. So when you get the computer put together you can install a program like "speccy" and then run a game while having speccy running on a different monitor if possible so you can see the CPU temperature while its under load.

Xpert, I have this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

Very, very easy install. With that my i5 3570k never has any heating issues (even while CPU mining for fun). Might be something to consider depending on your case size.

I changed my mind again, I'll be buying the fan.  I figure I work at an IT company, so there will probably be a few or many people helping me put my pc together on judgement day.  I'd rather just take it safe with this one because I don't want anything breaking on me for awhile.  I'll also be getting a power supply with higher wattage because I'm just not confident with the 500W range,  I feel more confident with 650W to be honest.  This is what I've got:

Parts have been ordered.  Already got my shipment from Amazon (Prime), so now I just need to wait for the parts I ordered off of Newegg, which will probably get to me by Thursday.  I ran into the issue of which operating system I should get... Windows 7 or 8 (8.1).  I've read from a lot of people that Windows 8 or 8.1 is garbage, but from what I can tell, these people are angry because they can't accept change?  It looks like Windows 8.1 has an option to go to a 'Desktop mode' which is basically what you've seen in previous versions of Windows.  Also read that Windows 8.1 has faster startup and shutdowns, and has slightly better performance when playing games.  Part of me wants to stay with Windows 7 because I know it and have used it for the past three years, and the other part wants to try Windows 8.1 since it appears to be better than Windows 7 in a way... but the sh1t-ton of negative comments about it makes me scared to try it.

I figure I'd just go with Windows 7.  I know it and love it.  Windows 8 is just too focused on touch screens.  Maybe when Microsoft caters more for those who use a mouse and keyboard, then maybe I'll make a switch... I just don't want to deal with it now.

You can install programs like startisback or start8 in the original Windows 8 not 8.1 and it will be exactly like Windows 7. The only difference is the metro theme will still exist and you can still use it. All up to you. I personally think Windows 8 was a mistake because it focused to much around touch screens which is more of tablet OS. If anything they should make to seperate operating systems Windows Desktop and Windows Tablet.

Got my computer put together on Thursday last week.  So far it's been running very well.  The power supply I bought supposedly only has the fan spin when under a heavy load, so it startles me when I see that it's not on. lol.  Since I've been without a computer for 2+ weeks, I don't know what games I want to play on my new computer now...  Thinking of doing another Skyrim playthrough because it runs A LOT better on this new computer.  High resolution, settings set to ultra-high, and frames are really smooth.
