IDK if sticky is upgrading but he might. Otherwise it shouldn't be too hard to find one online for ~150 or so.

I would only pay 100 because there is other options for around that price.

Just to give an option: $130
GameStop: http://www.gamestop.com/accessories/avermedia-game-capture-hd/104692

I had thought about getting a PVR awhile back, but never quite followed through on it. Things can get expensive.

I am stuck between the new hd pvr 2 that they just came out with or the Elgato game capture device. They are the same price $159 but the Elgato is smaller and very user friendly.

from my XP from several years of capturing game's and streaming ontop of a few other things

Hauppauge is the way to go the only other one i would recommend is Black magic

idk about something named the cat lol never used it and the first time i have heard of it .

after reading up on it i have notice alot of reviews about over overheating and major lag when recording .... im only trying to help you get the best out there for your price Hauppauge is the way to go comes with all the wires no lag time between source and pc ....
Running old usb 2.0 and only 30fps
only MP4 files (not a problem us you use sony vegas)
raw files are HUGE and records all the time (so hope u have a big hhd)
Recommend for Newer PC as its a system hog

almost every one that streams in HD and PLAYS in HD uses Hauppauge or black magic or higher end PVR's

i know atrum probly would say the same thing

again trying to help out

IMO if you're buying a cap card, get a Black Magic. Not that big of a price jump and worth it.

Well if you have questions pm me or sticky. I've done a fair amount of montages/editing, and sticky is just constantly using his cap card so I'm sure he must know something.

What is some good editing software? That is free and produces a good quality.

I haven't used in free ones, so idk what is good or not.
For windows I really like Premier Pro, for Mac Final Cut is spectacular.

PS: The sig, I completely forgot. I'll set some time aside tonight to get on that.
