Tales of Vesperia JRPG

Post by S7 Coolhand on Wed Jan 02, 2013 1:40 pm

Has anyone else played this Japanese RPG or one of the other Tales of... games? I'm really digging this one. Approaching the final battle and have sunk about 60 hours in. I think the level cap is 200 but my crew is in the 50s.

I've always thought they looked pretty good. How would you rate it on a scale of FFX-2 - FFIX (aka 1-10, 10 being the best)

I had thought about getting Tales of Vesperia. I think there was a demo because I remember playing it at some point. I typically like playing JRPGs, so I enjoyed the demo. Never played any of the other Tales games as I only heard about them when Tales of Vesperia released and Vesperia is also the only Xbox 360 Tales game.

The 'Tales' series has been a solid contender for best JRPG throughout the years, (at least in my mind) the gameplay is in real time with you controlling 1 of the characters in the party. etc. etc.

I've played most of them, starting with Legendia on the PS2 and working my way through the various titles in the series afterwards.

Vesperia gets a solid 8/10. The game is lengthy with plenty of side quests and hidden skits to find, as well as a New Game + for those who want to see and do it all in the game.

p.s Try to get a stockpile of Grade before you beat the game
