I noticed a big difference when I got the new adapter for the 360, I think it's the only one they have out right now it has the two ant. on it. But I am using a linksys router I am at work right now so don't have the model number, but I have one xbox,ps3, 3 computers and two iPhones at any given time hooked up to my Internet and it works great.

This is the one I have, a little pricy but I had the cheaper one before and realy didn't have any problems but I did notice the speed when I started adding more stuff.
Model: WRT610N

I use the apple airport stuff. They work great. I've had netgear, linksys, pretty much everything. So far, these are the only ones i've found to be faultless (and fast). Bit pricey though.

i would go with a gaming router you might put out more money but they are alot easyer to run more then one xbox with open nat

!!!STAY AWAY FROM WIRELESS ADAPTERS !!!!
unless you want a mond -strict nat
if you can stay hard wired to your router you will more then likely have open and some times moderate nat.but all you need to do is restart the router every now and again if it moderate .

or type in your xbox IP into the DMZ that will open it for ya .

also i just got a linksys wireless N+
and its a peace of crap they dont make it were you can set it up the way you want it they made it so retards could be safe online .
after along time of messing with it i finaly have an open nat

I'm stuck running Wifi right now, cause it's all I have. I use my Landlord's internet, lol. I also tend to hog her connection.
When I'm actually using internet though, I use a Linksys Router. Sticky is right though, Cable is the best way to go for running net to your Box.

If you do run Wireless just minimize the interference between your 360 and the router. For instance Microwave's and cordless phones run on a 2.4 GHz try to knock out as much interference and you should be fine there is a chance of getting a moderate nat from time to time but like sticky said it can be solved by resetting your modem.

Whilst it is true that wired networks are faster, this is only due to the wireless signal and interference. In truth, for what you need it for, wireless is just as good as wired.

it can be just as good
like smack was saying there is alot of stuff using 2.4g so some times it great and other its not ...

but if you can set up away from all that then i am sure it will work just fine

You need a LOT of interference to slow speeds down though. Even the slowest these days transfer at 56mbps, so even if you only get a quarter of that (which is highly unlikely) you'll still be sending/recieving packets fast enough not to be affected. Usually varies from router to router though. Some are really susceptible to it, others not so much.

Bought a Netgear Rangemax N series router, only to find out that it won't go at it's highest speed as long as there are nearby G networks because it would trample their signal or something. Anyway, it fried less than a year later anyway, so for half the price I bought a Linksys G at Wallyworld that works just fine.

I have had much success with Linksys and probably will be purchasing one when I get my new internet as Comcast does give customers a modem/router. Once I get my cable on Sunday my 360 will no longer be wireless but to be honest I never had any issues with it. I think it comes down to how much interference and distance is involved but I could be wrong.
