1970s VW Bus?

Post by S7 K1ll3rKlown on Tue Jan 31, 2012 4:33 pm

Anyone here into the 1970s VW Bus scene?
Just looking for a nice VW bus I can slam, gut the interior and remodel the way I want to. I may also chop it, but that depends (I'm pretty tall and need the extra head room). I like the 21 window bus but the full panel side would be fiine. Anyone know of a bus in their area that maybe for sale? I'm willing to knock off the rust etc. and complete the entire build from scratch. If you help me find the perfect bus there will be a finder's fee in it for you.

classic cars/trucks have always been a "thing" of mine. Use to talk alot with another old member that left (Twisted Emmitt) a R/L friend of Miller in the OK area.

MrMiller if you see Twisted Emmitt in your travels ask him if he can find a 70s VW Bus for sale. I know he has a few old '56 trucks that he's slammed and tricked out himself.

You have no idea just how cool the insides of these rides can be.
And yeah mature, intelligent, sophisticated women can appreciate the hard work you put into them and like cool rides in general, but the female dogs of which you speak I have no idea Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad .

I think it would be sweet. Probably faster around the track than a Mustang too. K1ll3rKlown

I could always put a Porshe motor in it. That's the beauty. I've actually seen a few being drag raced...but that's different.
As for the Mustang...it's winning fans everywhere.
I was down at the DC Autoshow this week, but didn't run into the POTUS as he apparently enjoyed the Ford section.

Disclaimer: this is not political, I could care less about his political affliation, just find it sweet to see the POTUS sitting in a Monster Mustang!!cheers

I like that matte black! I saw one last night, but it was too dark to get a shot of it. Kinda girly too..frilly curtains, rainbow paint job.

I've actually been looking at getting a VW myself recently. I go to a lot of car shows, race weekends where there is camping and stuff, so it would be pretty cool.

I think the time has come to swap out the Lexus for something cheaper to run/insure. If I get a job in the city, I'll probably just get the train, meaning I could get a VW and have it still be practical enough. If not, I think I fancy an Audi.

Yeah I love it 'Septor!

Epic, I agree! I'm still looking for one myself. At some point the others here will realize the potential and start the search as well.

Hah, I priced one up. Would cost 50,000 new with the options. Give it a few more years though...that said. New S4 vs 2/3yo Skyline GT-R....might be a close one.

You really don't want any post-2008 models anyway. That's when they switched from the v8, and honestly after that point I have a hard time justifying the "s" on the badge.

Too lazy to google the conversion, but my friend picked his 08 s4 up for $22,000. Had exhaust and wheel upgrades, full leather interior with all red LED's on the inside. The audio system is spectacular too.

2008 RS4 is still my dream car. In excellent condition, you can get one here for around $45,000 fully loaded, low mileage (like new).

I'd get an S5 Coupe if I'm honest. RS5 if I had the money...Black Edition.

There is like 99.9% I'm not going to buy new anyway, it's just not worth it.

My brother in law really likes the s5 coupe. He thinks it would be a great sleeper car.

PS: Did the sc2 ladder reset? Your wins are lower than they were.
