Not me. I would get the 14 or 11. Heavy, powerful laptops are not for me. Been there and done that with my Sony Vaio. I have a 17" beast. It was great and powerful but really too big and heavy to carry around. I never took it anywhere so it really was a bit of a waste. I want portability in a lap top with as much power you can get for the size. Size and weight are key for me.

ROFL! b1tch has her own legs. Now if you're telling me that the M18x has f'in legs and will follow me around then I am all for it.

I do a lot of digital art on my laptop so it has to be the big workforce ones. OMG it's almost like they make different versions for different needs Surprised

Nah, get the ASUS laptop that they did in partnership with SteelSeries or even a VAIO. AW is overpriced.

That's Klown.

I used to be a Windows fanboy and Mac hater. Then the Unibody MBP came out and I saw one in person. The build quality alone sold me on it. Now, having used a Mac for 2 years, i'd pay double. So worth it, stress-free, powerful, solid, stable. It really does 'just work'.

I am a software engineer though, so I still revert back to Windows for C#/C++/.NET, etc. and any non-Mac games but tbh, if I can do it on Mac, I do...except from non-web programming, 'cos Windows has the best IDEs.

Unix definitely has it's place too but I can't see it ever challenging in a mainstream environment. Tbh, I don't even think Chrome OS is going to do too well.

Yeah I mainly do art/networking so it's windows or linux there. I find Photoshop has shifted so it runs equal on Mac and Windows now. I know while I was in highschool even my high end pc had annoying issues that the mediocre school macs did not for PS, it's changed since then obviously.

i think performance wise they're more or less equal but I put that mostly down to the use of GPU computation, where, traditionally PC's are stronger as they tend to have higher spec GPU. Still, when it comes to PS freezing, I know I can depend on my Mac to come back to life again. Windows...it's 50/50 at best before i'm reaching down for the power button (or ctrl/alt/del).
