I think there could be a lot to it. Why would the hire people if they were not a bit serious? They wouldn’t waste the money on getting people in if it wasn’t a goal. If they just want to see what it would take, they would just grab a programmer or two that they have and see what would be needed to make a console port, but I would imagine they already did that and see it as a good opportunity and are hiring a full team to develop a port. I see it like this- they hire people to take the PC version and port it over, so as it doesn’t take away from the duties of the developers working on the PC version and it stays true to course. Then if the newly hired developers can do a good job, it will be released at a later time for consoles. Of course they do not want to announce that a console version is coming until after the PC version is complete and released, that way they will get suckers like you and me to double dip and buy both versions, as many people might hold out if they knew 6 months down the road a console version would be coming out.

very true point and it would be nice to play it on xbox either way this game is going to be a win

I don't know if I could do my Baal runs without seeing the full map. Would take years to get anything done lol

Note that it does say "Diablo-related concept" multiple times. It could be a scaled-down port or even a completely new game based on the Diablo universe. I'm not getting my hopes up
