Yanks done?

Post by S7 K1ll3rKlown on Wed Oct 20, 2010 11:15 am

I hate to say it but I think my Bronx Bombers have run out of gas. We may get a win today (w/CC pitching) but it may only be a prelude to the end. If we win and live to fight another day, can we come all the way back? The Rangers are good...no doubt, but they aren't really better than us--we just don't seem to have the fire & desire this year that we had in the past. We fought all year to hover at the top (knocked out last second by the Rays) but we may have run out of time and gas down the stretch. Tex last night coming up limp sliding into first was the icing on the cake. AJ Burnett pitched well, but was left in too long.

Oh well, I have MLB.TV so I'll can go back and watch all 162 games of the Diamond Backs or something crazy until Spring. Maybe all NY Mets games...that should be boring enough to get good sleep during hibernation season!

Yeah, "Timmy the Freak" is always amazing. But their second guy Cain is just as good and would get more attention if Lincecum wasn't there.

Yeah I'm not to sure about tonight for either of our teams Klown...the rangers just seem to be man handling you guys for some reason and it only seems like Cody Ross is killing the Phillies but who knows I would not be surprised to see a giants / rangers world series

I think the Rangers can manage one more win and put the Yanks down for good. Can't believe I'm saying it but... Go Texas!

Yeah, I love the Yanks obviously but honestly they may not have two more in them...not to mention the struggle in the World Series. It's a lot of games and I'm sure they are tired. After playing 162 reg. games you have to deal with the best and get taken to town. If they don't make it I'm not sad. It was a good year and they got close. I'm hoping for a good showing in TX. but not putting my money on it.

As for the NL, I'm thinking that the SF Giants just have the Phillies number!
I guess for baseball's sake a Rangers/Giants series would be a good thing.
It shows the smaller clubs they have a chance.

Then there was two...I was actually at the game last night it really could of gone either way the entire game but as soon as Uribe hit that geometry run in the 8th I knew the phils weren't coming back to tie or win it. We just could not hit the ball to save our lives. I was actually sitting in the section with all the wives of the Giants, very nice people. Once the game was over you got the typical Philly fans yelling and swearing at the wives. I on the otherhand took the higher route and congratulated them and wished them luck against the Rangers. Like Klown said this will probably be good for the game with two different franchises going at it. The Rangers, before this year, who never won a postseason game I believe. An the giants who's been in a drought for sometime now.

The series may not be as intriguing as a Yankees-Phillies world series bit it should be a good one nonetheless.

I have not watched baseball since the RedSox started to really have almost no hope to make the playoffs. I am happy that 2 new teams are in the WS and that the Yankees and the Phillies are not in it.

Maybe, but it's not all Lee. Plus, Cliff Lee will probably be in a Yankee uniform next year....came close this year (right after the 4th of July).
Then I'll have to hear the "Evil Empire" stuff again from OC...LOL
