New Toy for Glock
Glock,
Thought you might like this Glock pistol conversion.

I came across it while researching a similar conversion for the 1911 pistol that I am working on. I will be adding a 16" barrel and shroud to make my Springfield Arms Loaded 1911-A1 a .45 ACP carbine like the second shooter in the video.

I know there are others out there for Glocks but I thought you'd find this one interesting if you haven't seen it yet.

Re: New Toy for Glock
Nice! May have to look into that.
Like the Sig Sauer more....but it doesn't have a crazy conversion like this (I don't think). Does it do anything for performance or just for looks. It's scary looking as hell, but in the end (and underneath the plastic housing) if it's just another glock is it really worth it? Plus, what is the cost?

Re: New Toy for Glock
I'm a Sig man basically. My first pistol was a Colt Cbt Cdr which I sold for a Beretta 92SF. Then I added my 2 Sig 228s both with Trijicon 3-dot nite sights and one also moded to have an integral (in the frame below the barrel) IR/Vis laser combo about 20 years ago. Like the Sig reliability and the better size was an easy carry and fit with my flight gear while flying. After I retired, sold the Beretta for a HK USP Compact .45. then added the Kimber Ultra Carry 1911. Just bought a new SA Loaded model 1911 for this conversion. But I still love my Sigs the best.
To answer your questions, there is a similar one for the Sig.

The one I'm doing is about $750-800 for the Hera CPE conversion, shroud, Magpul MBUS sites, a standard M4 stock, side rails and NStar red dot. When you add the pistol, you are in the range of the HK UMP (Civ model). This just looks cooler.

Hey, klown those conversions do work, they're not just bells and whistle's. They make the Glocks into a carbine rifle...I would love to get one, BUT stupid california laws prevent me from doing so. I have a Glock 22 RTF, 40 cal I love it. Doing some work on my 12 G mossberg 500A. My next two purchases will be a ar 15 and a 1911 45 really like the wilson combat 1911's.

Re: New Toy for Glock
RT, Wilson Combats are great pistols but expensive. You can almost achieve the same quality and precision with a Kimber or Springfield Arms. Both are extremely reliable 1911s and shoot well. Most people don't need the "match level" quality of Wilson Combats given the expense. Also be aware that some of the 1911 clones are finicky about mags. Even Colts don't like all third party mags. So far the SAs have shown to eat about any mag you stuff in it and function reliably. Someone did a good vid on Youtube about 1911 mags. I function check the hell out of my mags with dry-fire rounds.

Copy that! Air thanks will look into Kimber and Spring field...I just like the look of the Wilsons and accuracy. But I'm sure others are just as accurate.
