Looks to me like that CPU will bottleneck that GPU's performance. You should benchmark it.,,, http://www.futuremark.com/benchmarks/3dmarkvantage/download/

But will it play Diablo 3 when it comes out? That's all that matters.

Is your CPU overclocked? How is it cooled? If you're planning on a quad at some point, you could just get a decent heatsink in the meantime and probably get a bit more performance out of it. Wait while the prices drop on quads.

ya i hear you my hp is only about 6months old but as you can tell i have maxed out the dual core and push it as far as it can go .right now my cpu is rated at 5.2845Ghz. so if and when the specs come out for d3 and if a can not play at least on high gaming setting i am going to get me a quad core

and hopefully one that uses the same type of graphics card and all that so i can just mix match pcs..

but for now i am alot happer then with my old dell XP got it in 94
specs were something like this

350g hard drive
512mb video ram (that was the upgrade from the integrated one )
1g ram
low def sound card integrated (which would lag out and sound would stop playing)
1 core

My stats are for my laptop:

Intel Duo Core 2.8 Ghz
Nvidia GT 130m Graphics Card(256m)

The card and processor can't run most games at high quality(medium runs fairly well). I've been thinking about upgrading my laptop PC, but I don't know how to install new cards and such into a laptop. Though I do know it is possible, but somewhat harder than a Desktop. My laptop is a CyberPower PC laptop, but the grahpics card is old compared to the newer models, so it fails sometimes(StarCraft 2 made the thing overheat three times, and computer said "AHH" and shut down lol, the cooling is fine on laptop it is just that it went trying to Ultra lol).
